スリランカ民主社会主義共和国（スリランカみんしゅしゃかいしゅぎきょうわこく）、通称スリランカは、南アジア、インド半島の南西にポーク海峡を介して存在する島国。首都はスリジャヤワルダナプラコッテ。1972年までは、セイロンと称していた。現在もこの国がある島は、セイロン島という。

国名をスリランカに改称したシリマヴォ・バンダラナイケは世界初の女性首相。大半が仏教徒である。
